Curriculum
A complete overhaul of the curriculum has resulted in a rich and varied range of experiences for all pupils" Ofsted 2016
At Woodbank we aim to educate our pupils to be hard working, resilient and better able to adapt to a rapidly changing world. We want them to accumulate the knowledge and skills needed for the next stage of their education, including team work, problem solving and communicating. We want to inspire a love of learning that can stay with our pupils throughout their lives. We value different attributes and encourage our pupils to be curious, engaged and motivated. We want our children to leave Woodbank as successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors to society. We offer a broad and balanced connected curriculum that promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of ALL our pupils, and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life. Staff promote the attitudes, values and culture of our school and make use of our physical and social environment. We encourage growth mindset and actively teach and model the language associated with it.
Woodbank’s values are Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Resilient.
