Mr R Cahill

I am a manager in the leisure industry, with many years of experience in a wide range of fields. My role entails dealing with finance, health and safety, fire safety, personnel, marketing and administration matters on a daily basis.

With children in education and as Chair of a Primary School PTA, both in the Bury local authority, I enjoy being able to give something back and wanted to develop this further. I contacted Bury Council about becoming a School Governor. Soon after, I was approached by Woodbank Primary School and subsequently co-opted onto the Governing Body.

I believe the role of a Governor is to offer support, but also to challenge where necessary. It is a privilege to be asked to serve the School Community in this manner. I am delighted to be able to offer my skills and experience, to work as part of a team and to be involved in the decision making that will enhance the School, its children and their families.
